Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute Kazakhstan 65th Anniversary

Oct. 20-23, 2015: Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute (AFIF) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, celebrates its 65th Anniversary with the  International Workshop Advances in Space Research and Technologie . Special Guest was the cosmonaut of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dr. A. Aimbetov, who had recently visited the International Space Station and Prof. Kazuhiro Sekiguchi of National Astronomical Observatory of Japan, who signed a cooperation agreement between AFIF and NAOJ. Silk Road Team Members Prof. Rainer Spurzem and Dr. Peter Berczik presented science talks at the event, and Peter Berczik (Main Astronomical Observatory, Kiev, Ukraine) presents the official greetings of the Ukrainian colleagues (see picture link).
